Government boosts support of Ukrainian export

The Cabinet of Ministers at a session on August 18 endorsed a decision to increase the authorized capital of the Export Credit Agency by UAH 1.8 billion. According to the Prime Minister, the Government wants to increase support for domestic enterprises presented in foreign markets and therefore expands the program.

«During the second quarter, Ukraine's GDP grew by 5.4%. The upturn of Ukrainian export, which grew by 31% or USD 7 billion in six months played an important role in economic recovery. Increasing the authorized capital of the Export Credit Agency by UAH 1.8 billion will allow expanding the presence of Ukrainian goods in foreign markets», Denys Shmyhal stressed.

Moreover, the Head of Government underlined that over the past year, small and medium-sized businesses have received more than UAH 60 billion of affordable and cheap loans. Denys Shmyhal emphasized that the state will continue to support Ukrainian entrepreneurs under «Affordable Loans at 5-7-9%» program government portfolio guarantees and cheaper loans for farmers.
