EuroShop is the trade industry exhibition for stores, warehouse equipment, store design and merchandising. It is held every three years at Messe Düsseldorf.
Since its debut in 1966, EuroShop has evolved into the world's premier retail investment exhibition.
The exhibition is a barometer of trends and an innovative platform for exhibitors. It offers an international program of engaging and practical conferences and seminars. The key target group of EuroShop includes trade professionals from all areas and its partners, as well as architects, graphic designers, exhibition managers and marketing experts.
Being dynamic and future-oriented as the industry itself, the exhibition presents itself in ten exciting trade aspects with all the trends and themes that look forward to the future.
In 2022, the average annual price inflation on food was the highest in Europe and Central Asia region. Here, the increase in food prices reached 18% on average. By comparison, the inflation in East Asia and the Pacific region reached 5.9% on average, which is the lowest among all regions in 2022.
Inflation will drive consumers away from hypermarkets to discount retailers in 2023.
Supermarkets and hypermarkets will lose market share to discounters in 2023 as the declining purchasing power forces many middle-class consumers to reduce costs.
