Vesna cosmetics, the producer from Bucha. Family business under the pressure of invaders

Vesna is a Ukrainian producer of herbal skin care cosmetics, that since 2015 helps people to take care about their health and beauty. The company with its line of cosmetic products with probiotics was included in Top-30 best business ideas of 2020-2021.

«We combined best world practices to produce body care products. Main goal of every product is to reveal the beauty of human beings, nature and connect them», — Viktoriya Masova, co-founder and co-owner of brand «Vesna».

First steps in this production business were made at home. Me and my mother Inna were making herbs and herbal oils soap that helped to cure the skin of my small brother, who had atopic dermatitis. Later we expanded our care product line, which was used not only by our family but also by our friends.

Gradually we set up the production and expanded it. Now we have our own laboratory, where we create and test unique products that comply with the Ukrainian and EU standards. Also we have modern equipment and batch production, that helps us to grow, gather, dry and extract plants and produce cosmetic care products.

Influence of war on the company

Before the war we had our production of herbal cosmetics in Bucha city. We were developing our business for 7 years, and during the last year we already had 54 partner spots in Ukraine and 3 own shops. Beside the showrooms we have an online store and continue to sell our products on such platforms as Etsy and Amazon, that helped us to find the customers and fans of organic products in Canada, Germany, Poland and Italy.

During the full scale invasion, russian troops ruined our laboratory and shop. We took almost everything from the store - from equipment to office furniture. For instance, a 100 kg cosmetic digester, that we could not take out, was damaged. We moved the equipment that we saved to Lviv and started to work there. As for today we restarted the production of the full cosmetic line that we had before the war.

Social responsibility of the company

We received many requests for healing and burn ointments. As soon as our production was safe, we started to work again and produced our products and supplied them to our defenders from the Military Forces of Ukraine. New line of cosmetics for the Military Forces of Ukraine has military packaging in pixel colors of our army and inspiring notes on the packaging.

We were trying our best to satisfy all needs and were sending ready made products for our defenders for free. We sent almost 3 thousand of creams to Mariupol.

We continue to develop the culture of organic cosmetics that help to reveal the beauty of human beings. We work and believe in our victory!
