The European Commission announced the creation of Solidarity Lanes allowing the sides to speed up the export and operation of customs between Ukraine and the EU

The country’s authorities together with Ukraine’s partners are working to extend opportunities for the Ukrainian export, primarily of the agricultural products. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal noted during the Gov’t session on May 13.

"Yesterday, the European Commission announced the creation of Solidarity Lanes. These are alternative routes allowing the sides to speed up the export and operation of customs between Ukraine and the EU. In order to enhance logistics, the European Commission will also set up a special platform to simplify border crossing through the Solidarity Lanes and recommend that the EU market participants provide additional trucks and other transport capacities," noted the Prime Minister.

Besides, according to Denys Shmyhal, the European Commission has already decided to conclude an agreement with Ukraine updating the maps of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T). That, apart from the significant expansion of opportunities for Ukrainian exports, will mean further maximum integration into European projects, told the Head of Government.
