Libya has opened a market for a new category of Ukrainian livestock products

The competent authorities of Ukraine and Libya have agreed on a bilateral form of veterinary certificate for the export of breeding cattle from Ukraine to Libya.

«We continue to open new opportunities for Ukrainian exporters in foreign markets. In particular, we promote Ukrainian economic interests in the large consumer market of Africa. Consistent efforts bring concrete results for Ukrainian business. Today, this is additional access for Ukrainian livestock companies to the Libyan market,» said Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.

«Libya is a country with which we cooperate in many product lines. Currently, Ukrainian entrepreneurs have been able to export pedigree cattle to Libya, which is an important item of Ukrainian agricultural exports. This means that the business has received new opportunities for growth,» said Vladyslava Magaletska, Head of the State Service on Food Safety and Consumer Protection.

The form of the certificate is available on the official web portal of the State Service on Food Safety and Consumer Protection in the section International Cooperation, Certificates for export from Ukraine.

It should be noted, earlier this year the competent authorities of Ukraine and Libya agreed the certificate for export of milk and dairy products from Ukraine. The countries have also agreed on forms of certificates for the export of poultry meat, poultry products and cattle for slaughter from Ukraine.
